The Islands Challenge Fund

The Islands Challenge Fund provides challenge grants and match funds ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to support housing and community facility projects on Maine’s year-round islands.

Prospective applicants should contact the Genesis Fund at 563-6073 to discuss their project before submitting an Application Form. ICF Guidelines are also available to provide more detail about the eligibility requirements, funding process and priorities of the Fund. A nine member advisory committee including five island residents and representatives of the Genesis Fund, Island Institute, Maine Community Foundation and the Maine Sea Coast Mission meets three times a year to review funding proposals.
